This feature, found on the home page, is also available on the sidebar throughout the course. A link to additional guidelines for conducting searches is found when you type a word(s) in the search box. These search guidelines follow and are illustrated with a search for Alaska constitution.

• General Search - returns articles that contain at least one of these words.
  
  
  
• Phrase Search - returns articles that contain "Shaped the Alaska Constitution", but not "Constitution of Alaska".
  
  
  
• Boolean Search - returns articles that contain both words.
  
  
  
• Boolean Search - returns articles that contain "alaska" but rank higher if it also contains "constitution"
  
  
  
• Boolean Search - returns articles that contain "alaska" but not "constitution"
  
  
  
• Boolean Search - returns articles that contain "alaska" and "salmon", or "alaska" and "constitution" (in any order), but rank "alaska constitution" higher than "alaska salmon".
