Roger Pearson Biography

Roger Pearson is a co-coordinator of the Alaska Geographic Alliance (AGA) and a former Professor of Geography at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. He was the director of the AGA book series, co-editing “Alaska, A Land in Motion,” and “Alaska in Maps: A Thematic Atlas”. Dr. Pearson has given over 50 presentations at state, regional and national professional geography meetings. He got his B.S. in Geography Education at Illinois State University and then both his master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Illinois. After living in Fairbanks for many years, he now lives with his wife in Nikiski.
